Question

I would love to hear what you guys would suggest for Molly clothes. I've got some ideas, but I need some in-put. Feel free to be long winded!

Molly could probably use more "everyday" type of outfits, like skirts, jumpers, and blouses. A coat might be nice as well since she only has a slicker. Just something along those lines if they're done in the style of her era.

That's a good idea, Pidget. I want to find a coat pattern. You are right - Molly really does need every day type of clothing.

Her victory garden dress is a favorite one and lots of people are making copies and posting them on ebay. I love the style of the dress and would be happy to buy another one if someone would just make one in different colors. I also think it would be great if Molly had a summer short set besides the camp one.

The Victory Garden dress is one style I would like to make. I don't see the point in copying AG dresses to the point of simialr print, but alot of people do do it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The styles of her era were very heavily influenced by the rationing resulting from the war effort. Consequently, her dresses would not use a lot of fabric and would certainly be shorter than Samantha's dresses... Silk was for parachutes...

Keep the skirts SHORT. No longer than her Victory Garden dress. And the skirts should not be very full either, no fuller than her Meet skirt actually.

I love the pix that adorevintage posted. They're really cute and I bet they would look great on Molly.
